Removing the Console from the Frame
1. Ensure the frame power switch is off or power cord unplugged.
2. Remove 2 6mm shroud bolts and mast shroud (treadmill only).
3. The following cables need to be disconnected:
1. Console Cable to UCB socket J2 (MCB).
2. External Power cable from UCB socket J25 (14V INPUT).
3. Button cable to UCB socket CN9 (KEY2).
4. Button cable to UCB socket JP5 (KEY3) (two cables come together in one connector).
5. Frame Earphone cable to UCB socket J20 or J21 (EARPHONE), if installed.
6. HR cable to free wire connector within console (6 conductor, 2x3) (two cables come
together in one connector).
7. If installed, Emergency Stop from UCB socket J4 (E_STOP).
8. Coax cable to Tuner.
9. If installed, Ethernet cable to UCB (LAN1).
10. Frame Ground Wire to Console Ground Wire (Yellow jacket).
11. An additional 4-wire (2x2) cable came up from the frame – was not connected (for
external TV power, not used with this console).
4. Remove 4 6mm console mount bolts.
• Note: the frame will support console weight with bolts removed, but it may be
unbalanced and fall – especially the TouchXL console.
5. Carefully lift console free from frame, ensuring no cable connections were overlooked or
tangled.
6. Place console screen down on work surface. Protect console from scratches or damage; follow
ESD protection measures if available.
7. Remove 4 #2 Phillips from upper rear console shroud; remove and set aside.
8. Remove 4 #2 Phillips from lower rear console shroud; remove and set aside.
Remove the Console Frame or Remove the Fan Bracket may be next.
The following components can be accessed by with no further disassembly:
• QI wireless charger
• Tuner & STB
Removing the Console Frame from the Console
1. Remove the Console from the Frame.
2. Remove 1 #2 Phillips from frame USB ground lead (lower right).
3. Remove 1 #2 Phillips from frame ANT+/HR ground lead (bottom left).
4. Remove 1 #2 Phillips from HR cable fixing strap (lower left).
5. Remove 6 #2 Phillips mounting console frame to front panel (vertical rails – 4 lower, 2 upper).
6. Gently shift the console frame up and right to access the following connectors.
7. Remove connector from UCB socket J24 (Blower).
8. Remove connector from UCB socket JP3 (Speaker).
9. Remove connector from UCB socket J16 (CSAFE).
10. Remove connector from UCB socket J19 (CAB).
11. Check that the ANT+/HR cable isn’t routed through the frame; rearrange if so.
