12. Carefully lift console frame away, ensuring no connections were overlooked or tangled; set
aside.
Removing the Console Frame is required to service the following components:
BT Sink/GymKit Board
ANT+/HR Board
Energy Saver LED
Console Proximity Sensor
USB port
Display
Touch Panel
UCB (Touch consoles)
Installing the Console Frame in the Console
1. Loosely place frame in console, and make the following connections.
2. Align & connect the cable to UCB socket J24 (Blower).
3. Align & connect the cable to UCB socket JP3 (Speaker).
4. Align & connect the cable to UCB socket J16 (CSAFE).
5. Align & connect the cable to UCB socket J19 (CAB).
6. Route the ANT+/HR cable through frame rail (lower left).
7. Align 6 screw holes in console frame vertical rails to their bosses in front panel. Ensure no wires
are pinched or bound; affix with 6 #2 Phillips.
8. Reattach the ANT+/HR cable fixing strap to the frame rail (lower left) with 1 #2 Phillips.
9. Reconnect the ANT+/HR Ground lead to the console frame (bottom left) with 1 #2 Phillips.
10. Reconnect the USB Ground lead to the console frame (lower right) with 1 #2 Phillips.
Install the Console on the Frame is likely next.
Installing the Console on the Frame
1. Install lower rear console shroud. Affix with 4 #2 Phillips.
2. Install upper rear console shroud. Affix with 4 #2 Phillips.
3. Ensure the frame power switch is off or power cord unplugged.
4. Carefully place console on frame bracket, ensuring no cables are pinched.
5. Loosely insert 1 or 2 6mm console mount bolts in LOWER threads to prevent console from
falling.
6. Route mast cables BETWEEN console frame rails, and make the following connections:
o Console Cable to UCB socket J2 (MCB).
o External Power cable from UCB socket J25 (14V INPUT).
o Button cable to UCB socket CN9 (KEY2).
o Button cable to UCB socket JP5 (KEY3) (two cables come together in one connector).
o Frame Earphone cable to UCB socket J20 or J21 (EARPHONE), if installed.
o HR cable to wire connector within console (6 conductor, 2x3) (two cables come together
in one connector).
o If installed, Emergency Stop from UCB socket J4 (E-STOP).
o Coax cable to Tuner.
