• Cable fixing bracket was removed during UCB removal, so the USB cable and port can be
set aside now as well.
15. Remove 4 #1 Phillips screws fixing Tuner.
• Move tuner out of the way to access QI wireless charger.
16. Remove 2 #1 Phillips screws fixing QI charger.
17. Remove #2 Phillips screw from QI cable fixing bracket and secure cable out of the way.
• QI component will be removed separately from the rest of the console internals.
18. Touch only: Peel away tape securing orange touch ribbon cable.
• Disconnect the cable from the ribbon cable.
• Orange ribbon cable will be left in place with panel.
19. Touch only: Remove 8 #2 Phillips screws fixing display in console panel.
• Rubber o-ring isolators can be left installed in display bracket mounts.
20. TouchXL only: Remove tape from touch interface board; disconnect the cable from it and
remove 4 #2 Phillips screws; flip board out of the way.
21. TouchXL only: Remove 12 #2 Phillips screws fixing display in console panel.
• Rubber o-ring isolators can be left installed in display mounts.
22. Carefully lift display up from console panel, including Tuner, ANT+/HR board, Console Proximity
Sensor & Energy Saver LED, and all cables.
• TouchXL only: UCB will remain mounted to display.
• Be very careful display isn’t damaged when setting aside.
• Keep display clean – any residue will be inaccessible to clean.
• Orange touch ribbon cable should fall freely from slot in display.
23. Remove QI charger.
24. Remove Front USB port.
25. Remove 4 #2 Phillips screws from magazine rack; remove rack (with headphone port).
26. Dispose of failed Touch Panel; prepare new Touch Panel for rebuild.
• Keep inside of panel clean – any residue will be inaccessible to clean.
27. Affix magazine rack/headphone port with 4 #2 Phillips screws.
28. Install QI charger and affix with 2 #1 Phillips screws; lay cable out of the way.
29. Carefully place Display and attached parts into new Touch Panel.
• Align screw holes to bosses; align panel keys to holes in display bracket (lower right and
upper left).
• Touch only: Ensure orange Touch ribbon cable passes through slot in display bracket.
30. Arrange Tuner, ANT+/HR board, Console Proximity Sensor & Energy Saver LED, headphone
board and all cables roughly in their final positions.
• Ensure Qi cable isn’t pinched under display; reattach cable bracket to boss on UCB with
a #2 Phillips screw.
• Reinstall any zip tie mounts that attach with screws in console panel.
31. TouchXL only: Align touch input board and affix with 4 #2 Phillips screws; connect cable to
socket on board.
• Replace tape on board once installed.
32. Install Front USB port in its mount; affix with 2 #1 Phillips screws.
• Reattach cable mount bracket once the UCB is reinstalled.
33. Connect the headphone cable to its socket on the headphone board; zip tie in place.
