Entertainment Channel Changing Issues
Keywords: TV, Black Screen, Channel Change, Channel Search
If a customer is experiencing channel changing issues, follow the steps below in the Service Mode.
Note: You only need to do the next step if the previous step does not resolve the issue.
1. Go to the tuner OSD and set Channel Label Display to Enable. This will show the channel
numbers sent to the tuner. Try a few channels and pay attention to the top right corner where
the channel number is displayed. If the channels displayed doesn’t match the channel number,
or there is a difference, the console is not sending the correct channel command. In this case,
either the tuner channel or console channel list has gotten corrupted.
2. Import from Tuner – press this button again. It will reimport the channels.
3. Scan for the channels again from the tuner OSD menu. And repeat step 2.
4. Try a different Tuner type. For example. If the tuner is set to US6 (Std NA), then switch to US5
(Pro Coax) and see if the issue goes away.
