  If the Maximum Controls Controller gate moves slowly, beeps, doesn't open or close, stops prematurely, or doesn't learn limits, start by checking the GATE SPEED rotary dial to ensure it is set to the MAX position with the LED on. Also, verify the gate isn't too heavy for the operator by checking the manual for the maximum gate weight for your model. Examine the gate hinges to confirm they are not too tight. Check if the GATE “PULL open / PUSH open” switch is set properly. Ensure the manual release on the arm is locked. Relearn limit positions by clearing limits first, press STOP + CLOSE button together for 5 sec (until BEEP is heard), adjust limits and relearn NEW limits.
