4 - COMMISSIONING
4.1 Control list before commissioning
1. Technical staff should check the followings before commissioning;
• All cable connections should be controlled on the field.
• Detectors and call points should be controlled whether the connections are done.
• End of line resistors should be checked.
2. The following information should be provided to the technical staff
• Zone line drawings
• Cable connections drawings
• Panel planning documents
• Panel user manual
• User manuals for all devices
4.2 Overview of the commissioning process
All system functions and circuits should be controlled at the time of commissioning.
The first step is the sounders should be start up.
And then zone lines should be started up. All devices should be seen how devices works.
4.3. Cable connection control before commissioning
1. At this section, panel is started up according to the installing procedures. The cable shouldn’t be connected at this time.
2. Should be sure that if any devices are not connected to the zone and sounder lines.
3. All cable should be controlled against from earth leakage.
4. Zone and sounder lines should be made short circuit and the resistance should be measured between positive and negative ends. The measured value
should not exceed the calculated value. Short circuit should be corrected after test.
5. Correction of polarization should be controlled.
6. After these steps mounting can be done.
4.4 Commissioning
4.4.1 Sounders commissioning
Following operations can be done before commissioning, after cable connection control;
1. Please remove and replace the end of line resistor from first sounder output. Should be seen as a fault coming and be normal.
2. Trying to create a discharge status, All connected sounders should be controlled.
3. Silence Alarm and Reset buttons should be pressed.
4.4.2 Zone commissioning
Following sections can be done after cable connection control and before commissioning;
1. Please remove the end of line resistor of zone line. Zone fault should be seen.
2. Create and alarm from all devices in the mentioned zone. Panel should detect the alarm.
3. Please repeat 1st and 2nd sections for all zones.
4. Energise the panel and see there is no fault.
