Why won't my Maytag GT341 Cooktop burner ignite?

  If your Maytag cooktop burner won't ignite, it could be due to several reasons. The top pilots might not be lit, or the ignitors may not be operating correctly; in this case, light the top pilots or correct ignitor operation. Another possible cause is clogged orifice hoods; clean the orifice hoods and verify the size in use is correct. Also, the burner venturi, burner cap, or burner ignition ports might be clogged; clean these components.

How to fix Maytag Cooktop burners that won't ignite but do spark?

  If your Maytag cooktop burners aren't igniting but you see a spark, the burner venturi, burner cap, or burner ignition ports could be clogged; clean the burner venturi or ignition ports. Another possibility is that the air shutters are out of adjustment; adjust them according to the installation instructions. Lastly, if you're using LP gas, the burner flame might not be correctly adjusted; adjust it according to the LP conversion information in the installation instructions.
