The design allows for installation within standard kitchen cabinet cutouts, with options for direct wiring or power supply cord connection. The dishwasher is designed to fit snugly under a countertop, with dimensions carefully specified to ensure proper clearance and integration.

Important Technical Specifications:

Electrical Requirements:

  • Voltage: 120-volt
  • Frequency: 60 Hz
  • Current: AC-only, 15- or 20-amp. fused electrical supply
  • Wiring: Copper wire only. A time delay fuse or circuit breaker and a separate circuit are recommended.
  • Direct Wiring: Requires flexible, armored or nonmetallic, sheathed copper wire with a grounding wire that meets home and local codes and ordinances. A UL Listed or CSA Approved conduit connector must be used.
  • Power Supply Cord: If using a power supply cord, it must be Part Number 4317824, designed for dishwashers. The cord must plug into a grounded 3-prong outlet located in the cabinet next to the dishwasher opening, meeting all local codes and ordinances.

Water Supply Requirements:

  • Water Temperature: Hot water line with 120°F (49°C) water at the dishwasher.
  • Water Pressure: 20 to 120 psi (138 to 862 kPa).
  • Connection: Use 3/8" O.D. copper tubing with compression fitting or a flexible braided water supply line.
  • Note: ½" minimum plastic tubing is not recommended.
  • Elbow: A 90° elbow with a 3/4" hose connection and rubber washer (Part Number W10273460) is required.
  • Installation Precaution: Do not solder within 6" (15.2 cm) from the water inlet valve.

Drain Requirements:

  • Drain Hose: A new drain hose is supplied. If a longer hose is needed, use a new drain hose with a maximum length of 12' (3.7 m) (Part Number 3385556). This hose must meet all current AHAM/IAPMO test standards, be resistant to heat and detergent, and fit the 1" (2.5 cm) drain connector of the dishwasher.
  • Connection Point: The drain hose must connect to a waste tee or disposer inlet above the drain trap in the house plumbing and at least 20" (50.8 cm) minimum above the floor.
  • Air Gap: It is recommended that the drain hose either be looped up and securely fastened to the underside of the counter or be connected to an air gap. An air gap must be used if the drain hose is connected to house plumbing lower than 20" (50.8 cm) above the subfloor or floor.
  • Drain Line Fittings: Use 1/2" (1.3 cm) minimum I.D. drain line fittings.
  • Air Gap Installation: If an air gap is required, it should be installed according to its installation instructions. When connecting the air gap, a rubber hose (not provided) will be needed to connect to the waste tee or disposer inlet.
