• If the vehicle is under any of the following conditions, the Remote Engine Start will not operate:
-The shift lever is in a position other than [P].
-The vehicle’s key is in the cabin.
-Any door, the trunk or liftgate is open.
-The brake pedal is depressed.
-The theft-deterrent system is operating.
• To prevent an accident when starting the engine, perform the following operations after
parking the vehicle:
-Apply the parking brake.
-Shift the shift lever to the [P] position.
-Do not leave the vehicle’s key in the cabin.
-Close all the doors and the trunk or liftgate.
• When using the Remote Engine Start for the first time, the guidance is displayed.
• If an accessory Remote Engine Start is equipped, the Remote Engine Start/Stop will not function.
• After operating the Remote Engine Start, the engine can be started for a period of 15 minutes.
However, the engine will stop automatically under any of the following conditions:
-A door, the trunk or liftgate is opened.
-The push button start is pressed.
-The shift lever is shifted to a position other than [P].
-The brake pedal or accelerator pedal is depressed.
-
15 minutes have elapsed since the engine was started using the Remote Engine Start.
-An engine stop request is made using the Remote Engine Start.
-The fuel level is low.
• The Remote Engine Start can only be used 2 times while the vehicle is not driven. After
the vehicle is driven, the use count is reset.
