Usage Features

The Mazzer Omega is designed for ease of use and versatility.

  • Grind Adjustment: The grinder offers a wide range of grind settings, from "Ibrik" (finest) to "French Press" (coarsest). The adjustment mechanism involves rotating the adjustment ring (A) to select the desired grind size. The manual provides a visual guide for different grind settings, indicating the number of rotations or clicks required for specific brewing methods (e.g., Espresso, Moka, Filter). The factory preset is at the burrs' zero-point contact. One rotation corresponds to 10 units of adjustment, and two rotations to 20 units.
  • Capacity: The coffee collection cup (B) has a maximum capacity of 42 grams (1.5 oz) of ground coffee. Users are advised not to exceed this amount to prevent clogging or damage to the components.
  • Assembly and Disassembly: The manual provides clear, step-by-step instructions for both assembling and disassembling the grinder. Key components include the body (A), coffee collection cup (B), burrs, adjustment ring, lever (J), and knob (K). Users are cautioned to follow these instructions precisely and avoid disassembling the adjustment ring itself.
  • Safety Precautions:
    • Exercise caution when handling due to small pieces and sharp components (burrs).
    • Do not allow children to use or play with the grinder.
    • Do not put hands near the grinding area when the unit is in operation.
    • Always adjust the grind setting before placing beans in the grinder.
    • Ensure the coffee collection cup is correctly tightened before starting to grind.
    • Store the appliance on a stable, flat surface when not in use to prevent falls.
    • Do not attempt to move the lever (J) when the burrs are touching each other, as this can damage internal components.
    • Only grind roasted coffee beans; do not use ground coffee or other types of food.
