Vertical movement of the bowl
Typically, the bowl is lowered at the end of each cycle in order to unload the product, after which
it is re-raised to execute another cycle.
This movement is achieved via the
and switches. The installer can set the
movement control mode (and therefore the relevant movement control switches).
AUTOMATIC control: the movement of the bowl occurs by pressing the movement keys once.
The bowl will stop automatically after having reached the HIGH or LOW position,
as soon as the corresponding micro switch closes.
MANUAL control: the movement keys have the instantaneous function. The bowl moves only
while the keys are maintained pressed, and it stops immediately upon the release of the keys
(or when the relevant control micro switches close).
The vertical movement of the bowl is linked to specific input conditions, as described below.
Safety conditions and requirements
The wiring diagram has been designed to guarantee user safety (see attached electrical wiring
diagram) even in case of a circuitry malfunction. The tool will operate only if the micro switch
of the grid, the the raised bowl micro switch, and the micro switch indicating the presence of
the bowl are all closed at the same time. If the micro switch of the grid opens, it automatically
inhibits the operation of the inverter and it stops the motor instantaneously.
After closing the grid micro switch, the interrupted cycle will only restart after pressing START.
The inverter set-up parameters include the brake function, which must be applied every time the
motor is stopped. This is achieved by opening the inverter-enabling contact (on the controller)
corresponding to input LI1 on the Telemecanique ALTIVAR 31 and input S1 on the Omron V1000.
This is necessary to comply with tools resting times established by the machinery regulations.
The bowl vertical movements are allowed only when the machine is not in operation.
When the AUTOMATIC movement control is set, the upwards movement is only allowed if the
micro switch indicating the bowl presence and the micro switch indicating the lowered bowl are
closed. The lowering movement of the bowl is allowed only if the micro switch indicating the
bowl presence and the micro switch indicating the raised bowl are closed. When the MANUAL
movement control is set, and both the micro switch indicating the raised bowl and lowered bowl
are open, then the bowl can be either raised or lowered.
