Unlock:
The control unit will automatically lock out after 3 minutes of
inactivity.
Press and hold the POWER/MUTE/UNLOCK button for 3
seconds to unlock the control panel.
Constant Immersion:
The control unit will default to Constant Immersion mode when
switched on.
Constant immersion is a reactive therapy in which all air cells
maintain constant pressure to maximise contact area and
redistribute pressure.
A green LED will illuminate on this button when Constant
Immersion is active.
Gradient Immersion:
Gradient Immersion (or ALP therapy) is an active therapy in
which air cells will alternate to provide o-loading.
This mode can be selected by pressing this button.
The cell cycle options of 5, 10 or 15 minutes can also be
changed by pressing this button.
The chosen cycle time will be visible on the digital display.
Max Inate:
Max Inate (repositioning mode) will rapidly inate the mattress
to provide a stable surface for nursing procedures or patient
repositioning.
As a safety feature, Max Inate will automatically return back to
the previous therapy setting after 20 minutes to avoid the patient
being on peak pressures for long periods.
An orange LED will be visible on this button when it is active.
Comfort Settings:
Press the +/- button to adjust the comfort setting from -2 (softest)
to +2 (rmest).
The control unit will automatically default to 0 (medium).
All comfort settings are within a therapeutic window and adjusting
the setting will not alter clinical therapy.
The chosen comfort setting will be visible on the digital display.
Pressure Monitoring:
This LED detects changes of pressure inside the mattress. If blue,
the pressures are adjusting (e.g. inating). If green, the pressures
are static.
Note: When this LED is green on initial ination, it can be a useful
indication that the mattress is fully inated and ready for patient use.
