2.2.6 Safety instructions for Lithium-Ion batteries
Warning! Read all the instructions and safety instruc-
tions for the charger and/or battery.
● Keep batteries away from water, moisture and sources of
heat such as direct sunlight – risk of explosion.
● The battery can emit fumes when used incorrectly or if
damaged. Such fumes can irritate the respiratory system.
Breathe in fresh air. Seek medical attention if the
complaint persists.
● Only use batteries of the type recommended by the
manufacturer, with the voltage specified on the type plate
on the product. The use of other batteries can result in a
risk of fire, explosion, personal injury and/or material
damage.
● The battery voltage must correspond to the charging
voltage, otherwise there is a risk of fire and/or explosion.
● Only charge the battery with the charger recommended
by the manufacturer. Charging other batteries can result
in a risk of personal injury and/or fire.
● Never attempt to open the battery. Keep the battery away
from sharp objects and metal objects, and do not subject
it to knocks or blows – risk of short-circuiting, fire,
explosion and/or personal injury.

● Never use damaged, defective or deformed batteries.
Never attempt to open the battery or subject it to knock
and blows.
● Never charge the battery near acid and/or flammable gas
or other substances.
● Do not expose batteries to heat or naked flames.
● Do not charge the battery at temperatures below 10°C or
above 40°C, this can damage the battery.
● Do not expose the battery to high temperatures or strong
sunlight for long periods.
● The battery will get hot during long periods of use. Allow it
to cool before charging.
● Never short-circuit the battery terminals.
● The battery must be packed in a plastic bag or box, or the
battery terminals sealed, before transport or storage and
before waste disposal of the battery.
2.2.7 Service
● Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair
person using only identical replacement parts. This will
ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
2.2.8 Vibration
The vibration total value ah of the handle with the highest
emission and the uncertainty K shall be declared.
Vibration and noise reduction
To reduce the impact of noise and vibration emission, limit
the time of operation, use low-vibration and low-noise
operating modes as well as wear personal protective
equipment.
Take the following points into account to minimise the
vibration and noise exposure risks:
• Only use the product as intended by its design and
these instructions.
• Ensure that the product is in good condition and well
maintained.
• Use correct attachments for the product and ensure
they in good condition.
• Keep tight grip on the handles/gripping surface.
• Maintain this product in accordance with these
instructions and keep it well lubricated (where
appropriate).
• Plan your work schedule to spread any high vibration
tool use across a longer period of time.
2.3 Safety instructions for operation
Warning! If you do not obey these instructions, there
is a risk of death or injury.
● Read the warning instructions that follow before you use
the product.
● Do not use the product if you are tired, ill or under the
influence of alcohol, drugs or medicine. This has a
negative eect on your vision, alertness, coordination and
judgement.
● Do not allow any children or anyone who is unfamiliar
with the product to use it.
● Do not use the product if it is damaged.
● Do not modify the product.
● The product must only be used for its intended purpose.
● Make sure the switch is in OFF-position before the
battery pack is connected.
● Check that the grass catcher is correctly installed and
cannot come loose.
● Do not use the product if a handle or safety device is
dismantled or damaged. Do not dismantle the product or
attempt to modify or repair it – risk of personal injury
and/or material damage.
● Look around the work area for potential risks that you
might not notice when the product is in use.
