1/ PURPOSE
e USBhost / RS485 converter is designed to connect a USB slave unit to the RS485
serial line.
e USBhost / RS485 converter allows you to connect the instrument MEg40
+
with
the USB interface to the RS485 serial bus. It also supplies the USB interface from the
instrument MEg40
+
. e RS485 bus is dimensioned for connecting up to 31 units. e
maximum bus length is up to 1200 m when the cabling system is correctly designed and
has a suitable impedance end.
