The Memphis Xtreme Audio Powersports Speaker Kits are designed to provide high-quality audio for various powersports vehicles such as motorcycles, side-by-sides, and golf carts. These kits are engineered to resist water and other elements, ensuring durability and performance in harsh outdoor conditions. Memphis Audio, with a legacy dating back to 1965, emphasizes the importance of proper installation and recommends using authorized dealers for service to maintain product warranty and optimal performance.
Function Description:
The Powersports Speaker Kits are available in both 2-speaker and 4-speaker configurations, with or without Bluetooth controllers. The core function is to amplify and reproduce audio from a connected source, delivering clear and powerful sound. The Bluetooth-enabled versions (MXABMB2BT, MXABMC2BT, MXABMB4BT, MXABMC4BT) allow for wireless audio streaming from Bluetooth-compatible devices. Non-Bluetooth kits (MXABMB2, MXABMC2, MXABMB4, MXABMC4) can be upgraded with the MXABTR Bluetooth controller, which is sold separately, to enable Bluetooth streaming. The system includes an amplifier and speakers designed for outdoor use.
Important Technical Specifications:
The manual provides wiring diagrams for both 2-speaker and 4-speaker systems.
- 2-Speaker System (MXABMB2/MXABMB2BT, MXABMC2/MXABMC2BT):
- Power Wires: Blue (Remote), Black (Ground), Yellow (12V+).
- Speaker Wires: White/White-Black (for one speaker), Gray/Gray-White (for the other speaker).
- Fuse: 7.5 A.
- Bluetooth Version Installation Note: For Bluetooth models (MXABMB2BT/BMC2BT), the blue remote wire should NOT be attached. It should be taped off and left disconnected as the system uses signal sense turn-on, eliminating the need for a remote wire and preventing unwanted feedback. RCA connections should not be used.
- 4-Speaker System (MXABMB4/MXABMB4BT, MXABMC4/MXABMC4BT):
- Power Wires: Blue (Remote), Black (Ground), Yellow (12V+).
- Speaker Wires: White/White-Black (for two speakers), Gray/Gray-White (for the other two speakers).
- Fuse: 15 A.
- Bluetooth Version Installation Note: Similar to the 2-speaker system, for Bluetooth models (MXABMB4BT/BMC4BT), the blue remote wire should NOT be attached. It should be taped off and left disconnected as the system uses signal sense turn-on. RCA connections should not be used.
