Usage Features
The scooter's operation is straightforward, with a focus on user safety and convenience.
- Practice Before Operating: New users are encouraged to practice in an open area with assistance until comfortable with the controls. It's crucial to ensure the unit is OFF before mounting or dismounting. The speed control knob should be set to the slowest position initially to familiarize oneself with the vehicle's driving characteristics.
- Moving and Braking: The scooter is controlled via a wigwag paddle. Squeezing the right-hand side moves the scooter forward, while squeezing the left-hand side moves it backward (accompanied by an audible alarm). Releasing the paddle activates the electromagnetic brake, bringing the scooter to a prompt stop. The further the paddle is deflected, the faster the scooter will go, up to a maximum speed determined by the Speed Dial. It is important to wait at least 2 seconds after starting the scooter before operating the wigwag paddle to avoid error diagnoses. Simultaneously pushing both sides of the wigwag paddle will prevent control of the scooter.
- Key Ignition: The key ignition acts as the power switch. Turning the key clockwise switches the power on, illuminating the battery gauge. Turning it counterclockwise switches the power off, and the key can be removed. It is critical not to turn the ignition off while driving, as this will result in an emergency stop and potential damage or injury.
- Speed Dial: This dial controls the maximum speed. Turning it clockwise increases the speed, and counterclockwise decreases it. The speed dial should not be adjusted while driving, and for indoor use, it should not be set to the highest speed.
- Horn Button: A yellow button on the control panel activates the horn when pressed and stops when released.
- Seat Adjustments: The seat can be rotated and locked at 45° intervals by pushing the seat lever forward, swiveling, and then releasing the lever until it locks.
