• Spray water must be removed immediate-
ly. Your device is not adequately protected
from water. Penetrating water can destroy
the device.
4.4 Summary
• Always handle the device with care.
• Select the appropriate type of wood (dry
density) with the arrow buttons.
• When measuring wood types which are
not listed, you can determine the density
setting according to the chapter 4.2.5 De-
termining the dry density.
• There must not be any foreign objects un-
der the wood (except for Styrofoam).
• Always remove dirt from the measuring
surface.
• Perform the measurements longitudinally in
the direction of the fibre.
• The wood must always cover the measur-
ing surface completely.
• Always press the measuring device on the
wood (4 kg) during the measurement.
• Measurement range level exceeded (meas-
uring result on the display is grey) indicates
that the measurement is outside of the ap-
proved measuring range.
• Measure in multiple places in order to ob-
tain meaningful mean values or peak val-
ues.
