SHUT DOWN

Rotating fan wheel inside can crush and cut. Do not remove any inlet or discharge

attachment until the vacuum has come to a complete stop. Do not stand near the

inlet, inlet hose, discharge hose, or discharge collection bag while the unit is shutting down. Failure to

do so will expose the operator to a moving fan wheel which if contacted, will lead to serious injury or

death.

1. Move the throttle to the slow position. Allow the engine to return to idle before shutting off.

2. Turn the engine off and remove the key.

3. Remove the collection bag, if used, and follow employer’s procedures for the safe handling

and disposal of the collected material.

4. Disconnect the hose.

SECTION VI

MAINTENANCE

The internals of this equipment has parts that can crush and cut. Follow Lockout/

Tagout information in the “IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION” section before

service or maintenance. Failure to do so will lead to serious injury or death if a body part contacts a

moving internal part. In addition, the equipment and the parts are heavy, see the “Heavy – handle

safely” information in the “IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION” section.

ENGINE: The cooling fan screen should be cleared of dust and debris after every use. Refer to the

engine manual provided for additional service and maintenance information.

BATTERY: The battery provided with your equipment is of the lead-acid type. The battery cables

should be checked daily for corrosion and tightness. Clean and tighten as necessary.

FAN HOUSING AND WHEEL MAINTENANCE: No maintenance is required on the fan wheel or

housing. If issues are suspected, contact the factory. Do not attempt to fix or repair any issues.

The fan wheels are designed and manufactured specifically for these vacuums. Replacement fan

wheels are only available from Meyer. Do not attempt to substitute. Doing so

may lead to a catastrophic failure of the vacuum and serious injury or death. Contact Meyer at
