Conversion Sequence from Wet to Dry Sample Cells
1. Drain the recirculator before removing any fluid connections.
2. Remove the tubing connections from the Sample Cell. (When reconnecting these fittings, note
that they should be tightened hand-tight.)
3. Loosen the large knurled Sample Cell Clamp knob.
4. Open the Sample Module door and remove the Sample Cell, grasping the black handle. Remove
any moisture from inside the sample cell windows before it is allowed to dry.
5. Loosen the two Sample Cell Retainer knobs. The Retainers will rotate away from the Sample Cell
Holder. Remove the Sample Cell Holder.
6. Insert the Dry Delivery Cell and tighten the Sample Cell Retainer knobs. The retainers will swing
into position as you begin to tighten them.
7. Snap the Vacuum Tube Elbow into place on the bottom of the Dry Delivery Cell.
2.4.1 Fluid Connections for Wet Sample Delivery
CAUTION
If solvents are being used as the recirculating fluid medium, any leak can present a hazard to operating
personnel. Check all parts of the liquid handling system for leaks at installation and periodically thereafter.
This includes all tubing fittings and also the fluid paths inside the SDC and the Analyzer.
Manual shutoff valves should be installed wherever appropriate in the liquid supply lines within easy reach
of the operator in case of emergency.
