Also, check if the temperature sensor behind the air filter is touching the cold coil; if so, try to move it so it doesn't make contact. If the compressor shut off due to changing modes, wait about 3 minutes for it to restart in COOL mode. Finally, make sure there are no obstructions blocking the outdoor intake/exhaust; clear any if present.
