      Shawn NguyenAug 15, 2025

Why is my Midea MAW12V1QWT Air Conditioner cooling, but the room is too warm with no ice forming?
    • J
      Jorge McclureAug 18, 2025
If your Midea Air Conditioner is cooling, but the room remains too warm and there's no ice forming on the cooling coil, the issue could be due to a dirty or restricted air filter, so you should clean it. The temperature might be set too high, so lower it. Adjust the air directional louvers for better air distribution. Ensure that drapes, blinds, or furniture aren't blocking the front of the unit. Close any open doors, windows, or registers that may be letting cold air escape. Also, allow additional time for the unit to remove stored heat from the walls, ceiling, floor, and furniture.

Why the air from my Midea MAW12V1QWT Air Conditioner does not feel cold enough?
    • V
      victoriaadamsAug 22, 2025
If the air from your Midea Air Conditioner doesn't feel cold enough, it could be due to several reasons: If the room temperature is below 62°F (17°C), cooling may not occur until it rises above this temperature. Check if the temperature sensor behind the air filter is touching the cold coil and try to move it. Reset to a lower temperature. If the compressor shut off due to changing modes, wait approximately 3 minutes for it to restart when set to COOL mode. Also, check for obstructions blocking the outdoor intake/exhaust and clear them.

What to do if Midea Air Conditioner is cooling, but the room is too warm and ice is forming?
    • J
      Justin EscobarAug 26, 2025
If your Midea Air Conditioner is cooling, but the room is too warm and ice is forming on the cooling coil, it might be due to the outdoor temperature being below 64°F (18°C). To defrost the coil, set the unit to FAN ONLY mode. Also, the air filter may be dirty, so clean it and set to FAN ONLY mode to defrost. If the thermostat is set too cold for night-time cooling, set to FAN ONLY mode to defrost the coil and then set the temperature to a higher setting.

Why does my Midea MAW12V1QWT turn on and off rapidly?
    • D
      daryl61Aug 28, 2025
Your Midea Air Conditioner might be turning on and off rapidly due to a dirty air filter restricting airflow, so you should clean it. If the outside temperature is extremely hot, set the FAN speed to a higher setting to increase airflow past the cooling coils. Also, check for any obstructions blocking the outdoor intake/exhaust and clear them.

Why is remote sensing deactivating prematurely on my Midea MAW12V1QWT Air Conditioner?
    • V
      Valerie DavisSep 7, 2025
If remote sensing is deactivating prematurely on your Midea Air Conditioner, ensure the remote control is within 26 feet and 180° radius of the front of the unit, pointed in its general direction. Also, check for and remove any obstructions that may be blocking the remote control signal.
  • D
    David SmithSep 12, 2025
Why is my Midea MAW12V1QWT making noise when cooling?
    • M
      Morgan CabreraSep 12, 2025
The noise from your Midea Air Conditioner during cooling could be due to normal air movement sounds. If it's too loud, try setting the fan to a slower speed. Alternatively, window vibration due to poor installation could be the cause. In this case, refer to the installation instructions or check with the installer.
