NOTE on Timer Settings:
- When setting TIMER ON or TIMER OFF, the time increases in 30-minute increments up to 10 hours, then in 1-hour increments from 10 to 24 hours. (e.g., 5 presses for 2.5h, 10 presses for 5h). The timer reverts to 0.0 after 24 hours.
- To cancel either function, set its timer to 0.0h.
TIMER ON & OFF setting (example):
This section illustrates how to set both TIMER ON and TIMER OFF, with time periods referring to hours after the current time. An example shows setting the unit to turn on 2.5 hours later and turn off 5 hours later, given a current time of 1:00 PM.
How to Use Advanced Functions
This section details the air conditioner's advanced features.
Swing function:
- Pressing SWING starts the horizontal louver swinging up and down automatically. Pressing it again stops the movement.
- Pressing SWING for more than 2 seconds activates the vertical louver swing function (model dependent).
Airflow direction:
- Each press of the DIRCT button adjusts the louver by 6°. Continue pressing until the preferred direction is reached.
LED DISPLAY:
- Pressing LED DISPLAY turns the indoor unit's LED display on or off.
- Pressing LED DISPLAY for more than 5 seconds (some units) makes the indoor unit display the actual room temperature. Pressing it again for more than 5 seconds reverts to displaying the setting temperature.
Active Clean Function:
- Pressing CLEAN activates the Active Clean Technology. This feature washes away dust, mold, and grease that cause odors by automatically freezing and then rapidly thawing the frost on the heat exchanger.
ECO function:
- Pressing ECO under COOL Mode enters the energy-efficient mode (for model RG51A(2)/E).
- Note: This function is only available under COOL mode.
- In cooling mode, pressing ECO automatically adjusts the temperature to 24°C/75°F and fan speed to Auto to save energy (only if the set temperature is less than 24°C/75°F). If the set temperature is above 24°C/75°F, pressing ECO changes the fan speed to Auto, but the set temperature remains unchanged.

SHORTCUT function:
- Used to restore current settings or resume previous settings (for model RG51B(2)/E).
- When the remote controller is on, pressing SHORTCUT automatically reverts the system to previous settings, including operating mode, setting temperature, fan speed level, and sleep feature (if activated).
- If held for more than 2 seconds, the system automatically restores the last operation settings.
SLEEP function:
- The SLEEP function decreases energy use while sleeping, adjusting temperature settings for comfort.
- This function can only be activated via remote control.
