Chapter 7: Software Update (MUW)GR8
The MUW (Midtronics Update Wizard) is a TIS-based system
that allows you to update the software in your GR8 Battery
Diagnostic Station when new software revisions are released.
The process requires the software update cable (00002-A1280)
and will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes to complete. You
can press the “Cancel” button to stop the process at any time
EXCEPT when the charger is actually updating with the new
software.
Using The Update Wizard
1. To launch the MUW from the TIS client navigate to:
TIS>Diagnostics>Tools & Equipment>Battery
Diagnostics>Available Software Updates
on the TIS homepage. Click on the link to the most current
Production Revision. The screen shown below will appear.
2. Click the “Set Language” button to run the update in Eng-
lish, French, or Spanish and click “OK” to continue.
3. Plug the charger into a dedicated, grounded nominal 15-
amp or higher AC outlet and turn it on.
4. Click “Next” to continue.
5. If a data card is installed, remove it until the software up-
date is complete and click “Next” to continue.
