Safety distance (S)
The minimum distances between the top of a cooktop (including trivets, dials -
depending on model) and the bottom of the rangehood are as follows, unless a
greater distance is specified by the manufacturer of your cooking appliance.

observe the safety distances given by the cooktop manufacturer regarding the
use of easily flammable materials.
