Water hardness
To ensure that the steam combination oven works correctly and to ensure that
descaling is carried out at the correct interval, it must be set to the local water
hardness level. The harder the water is, the more frequently the steam combination
oven needs to be descaled.
Contact your local water supplier to find out your local water hardness range if
necessary.
If you are using bottled drinking water, e.g. mineral water, use non-carbonated
water. Select settings according to the calcium content. The calcium content is
given on the label of the bottle in mg/l Ca
2+
or ppm (mg Ca
2+
/l).
The degree of hardness can be set between 0.2mmol/l (1°dH) and 12.5mmol/l
(70°dH). The hardness level is set to 2.7mmol/l (15°dH) at the factory.
