Overview

This document is an operating manual for a Miele 30 Inch Dual Fuel Range, which includes an electric oven and a gas cooktop.

Function Description

The Miele 30 Inch Dual Fuel Range is designed for domestic use, offering versatile cooking options with both an electric oven and a gas cooktop. The oven is suitable for baking, roasting, broiling, defrosting, canning, and drying food, while the cooktop is used for preparing food and keeping it warm. The appliance is equipped with special bulbs to cope with particular conditions (e.g., temperature, moisture, chemical resistance, abrasion resistance, and vibration) within the oven compartment. It features various operating modes for the oven, including Booster, Bake, Maxi Broil, Surround, Self Clean, Convection Broil, and Convection Bake. The gas cooktop features automatic re-ignition, a system lock for the oven, a cooling fan, and a safety shut-off.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Oven: Electric, with multiple operating modes and temperature settings. The oven door is equipped with a door lock for Self Clean and a browning/broiling element. Air inlets for the blowers with ring heating elements are located behind them. The oven floor has a bottom heat element underneath it. The oven compartment is equipped with special bulbs.
  • Cooktop: Gas, with four burners. The control knobs for the burners regulate the strength of the flame, which can be variably adjusted between the lowest and highest flame settings. The burners are equipped with automatic re-ignition.
  • Dimensions: The data plate, located behind the toe kick panel, provides model number, serial number, and connection data (voltage/frequency/maximum rated load).
  • Weight: The oven door can support a maximum load of 33 lbs (15 kg).
  • Electrical Safety: The appliance must be properly grounded. Compliance with essential safety requirements is mandatory. The electrical safety of the range is guaranteed when it is properly grounded.
  • Gas Connection: Installation and maintenance of the gas connection must be performed by qualified installers, service agencies, or gas providers. The gas inlet valve must be closed when the range is disconnected from the power supply.
  • Cooling System: The range requires a sufficient supply of cool air for efficient operation. Heat insulation strips in the cabinet niche are recommended to prevent excessive heating by other heat sources.

Usage Features

Maintenance Features

  • Safety Precautions: Always read installation and operating instructions before use. Ensure the range is properly installed and connected. Do not allow children to play with the range. Be aware of hot surfaces and the risk of burns. Do not use the oven as a space heater or storage. Do not obstruct the flow of combustion and ventilation air. Do not use aluminum foil to line the oven or cover an entire rack. Avoid spilling liquids on hot surfaces.
  • Cleaning the Cooktop:
    • Unsuitable Cleaning Agents: Avoid cleaning agents containing soda, ammonia, acids, chlorides, descaling agents, stain or rust removers, abrasive agents, solvent-based agents, dishwasher agents, grill and oven sprays, glass cleaners, hard/abrasive brushes or sponges, sharp objects, and eraser sponges.
    • Recommended Cleaning: Clean the cooktop after each use with a soft sponge, warm water, and a small amount of liquid dish soap. Soften stubborn soiling beforehand. Dry the cooktop after using water to prevent lime deposits.
    • Burners and Grates: Remove grates and burner caps for cleaning. Ensure flame holes are completely dry after cleaning. Clean the burner cap with a soft sponge, warm water, and liquid dish soap. Clean non-removable parts of the burner with a damp cloth.
    • Control Knobs: Clean control knobs in stainless steel color with warm water and liquid dish soap.
  • Cleaning the Oven:
    • Unsuitable Cleaning Agents: Avoid abrasive cleaning agents, solvent-based agents, stainless steel cleaning agents, dishwasher cleaner, glass cleaners, cleaning agents for ceramic cooktops, hard/abrasive brushes or sponges, eraser sponges, sharp metal scrapers, steel wool, spot cleaning agents with mechanical cleaning agents, oven cleaners, and stainless-steel spiral pads.
    • Normal Soiling: A fiberglass seal around the oven compartment should be protected. Remove normal soiling immediately with warm water, liquid dish soap, and a clean sponge or microfiber cloth. Remove all cleaning agent residues thoroughly with clean water.
    • Stubborn Soiling: Do not line the oven with aluminum foil. Baked-on deposits can be removed with a glass scraper or stainless-steel spiral pad, hot water, and liquid dish soap.
    • Self Clean Program: This program heats the oven compartment to high temperatures (750°F/400°C) to burn off food residues. Levels of soiling (light, heavier, very heavy) can be selected. The oven door locks automatically during the program. Accessories not suitable for Self Clean must be removed.
    • Removing the Door: The oven door can be removed for cleaning. It weighs approximately 39.7 lbs (19 kg). Follow instructions to unlock and lift the door from its hinges.
    • Installing the Door: Follow instructions to securely install the door back onto the hinges.
