Why does my Miele W 502 Washer programme not start?
    • J
      John WestJul 30, 2025
The program may not start due to a couple of reasons. First, ensure the washer is receiving power by checking that the mains plug is properly plugged in and that the fuse or circuit breaker hasn't tripped. Also, make sure the washing machine has been prepared for first use as described in the section "Before using for the first time".

What to do if the Miele W 502 wash programme stops and a fault indicator light comes on?
    • C
      Charles FinleyAug 13, 2025
If the wash program stops and a fault indicator appears, several issues could be the cause. First, the water outlet might be blocked, so clean the fluff filter and drain pump. Ensure the drain hose isn't fixed higher than 1 meter. Check that the water inlet isn't blocked by opening the stopcock, and clean the filter in the water inlet hose if it's dirty. If the water protection system has activated, you will need to call the Service Department. In case of a general fault, restart the program. If the fault indicators reappear, contact the Service Department.
