WARNING

vided with this accessory, as well as those provided
with your power tool, battery pack, and charger.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE.
To change the string trimmer head assembly:
1. Remove the battery pack. Insert the pin supplied with
Easy Load Trimmer Head replacement into gearcase
hole (Fig. 1).
NOTE: Do NOT remove the pin until new trimmer head
is installed.
2. Slowly rotate head counter-clockwise until pin drops
into gear detent, locking the gear in place. Rotate the
trimmer head counter-clockwise and remove from
spindle (Fig. 2).
3. Thread the new trimmer head onto the spindle and
rotate clockwise. Hand-tighten securely.
WARNING
Do not use blades, brush cutting
wheels, accessories, or attachment
other than those recommended by MILWAUKEE.
Serious injury or product damage may occur.
When replacing the line, for best performance use
0.080" or 0.095" diameter line. The trimmer head
does support line diameters of 0.105" and 0.115".
Replacing the Cutting Line
Use only MILWAUKEE trimmer line (see Specications).
Replace the cutting line with either 20' of 0.095" line or
25' of 0.080" line.
NOTE: When used near abrasive surfaces or in dense
growth, the cutting line will wear faster.
1. Remove the battery pack.
2. Clean any grass or debris from the trimmer head.
3. Measure out 20' of 0.095" line or 25' of 0.080" line.
CAUTION: When replacing the line, use only MILWAUKEE
0.080" or 0.095" diameter line. Any other line can de
-
grade performance or cause damage to the trimmer.
4. Rotate the housing plate to align the red indicators on
the housing plate with the red indicators above the
eyelets (Fig. 3).
5. Insert the line through either eyelet and push through
the head so an equal amount of line extends from
each eyelet.
6. Begin winding the line by rotating the housing plate in
the direction of the arrows. Continue twisting until 4" to
6" of line extends from the eyelets (Fig. 4).
7. Check that the exposed line extends no further than
the line blade. If the exposed line is too long, continue
winding the housing plate or trim before use (Fig. 5).
8. Under normal operation, the remaining string should
be thrown from the spinning head during use. If any
string remains in the head, or to remove a length of
string to replace with a di󰀨erent type, turn the trimmer
head over and press the release tabs. Remove the
housing from the trimmer head to access the remaining
line on the spool.
9. Remove the line and replace the housing by aligning
it with the ring. Press until it clicks into place. Remove
the cover away from the head. Discard any short line
remnants. Snap the cover back onto the trimmer head.
Maintaining Line
Store extra line in a sealed plastic bag with a tablespoon
of water to avoid drying or cracking. Periodically sharpen
the line cutter to ensure the line does not extend too long
from the spool, which can cause motor overload.

L'UTILISATION.
Pour changer la tête de coupe de taille-
bordures à ligne :
1. Retirer le bloc-piles. Insérer la goupille fournie avec la
pièce de substitution de la tête de coupe de chargement
facile dans le trou de la boîte d'engrenage (Fig. 1).
REMARQUE : NE PAS retirer la clavette jusqu'à ce
que la tête de coupe soit installée.
2. Faire tourner doucement la tête vers la gauche jusqu'à
ce que la clavette tombe dans la goupille d'engrenages,
pour qu'elle verrouille l'engrenage sur place. Faire
tourner la tête de coupe vers la gauche et retirer la
broche (Fig. 2).
3. Enler la nouvelle tête de coupe dans la broche et la
faire tourner vers la droite. Serrer solidement à la main.
AVERTISSEMENT
Ne pas utiliser des lames, des
roues de coupe à brosse ou
des accessoires autres que ceux recommandés par
MILWAUKEE. Des blessures graves ou des dom-
mages matériels peuvent se produire.
Lors de remplacement du l, utiliser uniquement du
l monolament de 2 mm (0,080") ou du l tressé
de 2,4 mm (0,095") de diamètre. Toute autre taille
peut dégrader les performances ou endommager le
taille-bordures.
