The vehicle automatically detects the vehi-
cle key when it is in close proximity or in
the interior.
Unlocking the vehicle
Press the button on the door handle of the
driver's or front passenger door.
Locking the vehicle
Press the button on the door handle of the
driver's or front passenger door.
Tailgate
Unlocking
– Unlock the vehicle and then press the
button on the outer side of the tailgate.
– Press and hold the button on the
vehicle key for approx. 1 sec-
ond.
Depending on the setting, the doors may
also be unlocked.
Closing
Closing the tailgate manually.
Displays and control elements
In the vicinity of the steering
wheel
1 Low beams, fog lights
2 High beams, headlight flasher, turn sig-
nal
3 Instrument cluster
4 Window wiper system
Indicator/warning lights
The indicator/warning lights can illuminate
in a variety of combinations and colors.
Several of the lights are checked for
proper functioning and illuminate tempora-
rily when the engine is started or the igni-
tion is switched on.
