After coming to a halt, the brake is released
automatically. Secure the vehicle against
rolling away.
Harder vehicle deceleration
In certain situations, it can be necessary to
bring the vehicle to a halt more quickly than
the automatic braking allows.
To do this, quickly apply extra force to the
brake. For a brief period, the brake pressure
will be higher than the brake pressure that
is achieved by the automatic brake func-
tion. This interrupts automatic braking.
Canceling automatic braking
It can be necessary to interrupt automatic
braking in certain situations, for instance
for an evasive maneuver.
Cancel automatic braking:
– By depressing the brake pedal.
– By pressing the accelerator pedal.
