MOUNTING CONSIDERATIONS
Complete Typical Installation
It is recommended that the motor be mounted as close to the
centerline of the boat as possible. The motor must not encounter
any obstructions as it is lowered into the water or raised into the
boat when stowed and deployed. Make sure the motor rest is
positioned far enough beyond the edge of the boat. Make sure the
area under the mounting location is flat, clear to drill holes and
install nuts and washers.

Mounting Considerations

Installation Steps

Power Cable Disconnection

Ensure power cables are disconnected or the breaker is off before starting installation.

Mount Placement and Preparation

Place mount on a level surface and position motor in stowed mode. Remove sideplate screws.

Sideplate Removal and Base Extrusion Access

Remove sideplates to expose mounting holes in the base extrusion for further assembly.

Plate Assembly and Attachment

Assemble outer and inner plates, align with base extrusion, and secure with specified hardware.

Sideplate Reassembly

Reattach sideplates to the base extrusion using the correct screws.

Handle Assembly Positioning

Determine handle release direction (inboard/outboard) and ensure no obstructions.

Final Bracket Placement on Boat

Position bracket near centerline, check clearances, and ensure shaft clearance when deployed.

Padlock Pin Installation

Insert padlock pin into the outer plate and secure with a screw for theft prevention.

Template Use for Hole Marking

Use the box template to mark and drill holes for the inner plate and stiffener plate.

Inner Plate and Stiffener Attachment

Attach stiffener and inner plates to the boat deck using screws, washers, and nuts.

Final Motor Attachment and Securing

Attach the outer plate with the motor to the inner plate and secure with handle assembly.
