LOADING
FILM
Use
35mm,
ISO
1OO
to
4OO
negative
films'
Polaroid
instant
films
cannot
be
used.
o
Load
film
in subdued
light
or
shade.
1.
Make
sure
the
frame
counter
is at
S
and
slide
fhe
back=coverreleace
down
to
open
the
back
cover
(C).
2.
Insert
the
film
cartridge
into
the
film
chamber
(D).
3.
Extend
the
tip of
the
film over
the
take-up
drum
and
align
it to
the
film-leader
index.
To
prevent
film-loading
error,
make sure
the
film
tip
is aligned
with the
film-leader
index
ex-
actly
(E).
o
The
film
must be
positioned
between
the
film
guide
rails. Otherwise,
film
transport
error
may occur.
o
lf the
film
tip
extends
beyond
the
red
mark,
gently
push
the
excess
film
back
into
the
film cartridge.
4. Close
the
back
cover.
5.
Slide
the
main
switch
to
open
the
lens
cover,
and
press
the
shutter-release
button
three
or
four
times
until
"1"
appears
in the
frame
counter
(F).
The
safe-load
signal
will
turn
if
the
film
is correctly
loaded.

TAKING
PICTURES
1.
Slide
the
main
switch
to
open
the
lens
cover
(G).
2.
Make
sure
your
subject
is
within
the
camera's
focusing
range
(H).
3.
Hold
the
camera
steadily,
and
make
sure
that
your
fingers
or
the
camera
strap
do
not
cover
the
lens,
flash,
or
meter
window.
When
taking
vertically-framed
pictures,
hold
the
camera
so
that
the
flash
is on
top.
4. Compose
your
picture. lf
you
are
using
AF
101
R, center
the
focus
frame
on
your
subject
(t).
5.
Press
the
shutter-release
button
partway
down,
then
press
all-the-way
down
to
take
the
picture
(J).
o
Wait
for the
green
flash
lamp
to
glow
before
you
take
the
pictures
(K).
o
When
the
shutter-release
button
is
pressed
partway down,
the
red-eye-reduction
lamp
glows
to
reduce
red-eye
in
flash
pictures
(L).
i
tne
film
automatically
advances
to
the
next
f
rame.
o
When
you
have
finished
taking
pictures,
close
the
lens
cover.
This
protects the
lens
and
prevents
accidental
exposure.
Focus
Hold
(AF
101
R onlY)
Position
the
focus
frame on
your
main
subject
and
press
the
shutter-release
button
partway
down.
With
your
finger
still
on
the
shutter-
release
button,
reposition
the
picture
as
desired.
Fully
depress
the shutter
to
take
the
prcture.
