Emptying Your System
After growing and harvesting leafy greens or herbs for 8 to 10 weeks, it’s probably
time to change them out. Anytime you start new plants, we recommend draining your
reservoir and starting with fresh water and nutrients.

• Before you get started you’ll need a towel, a bucket
and some scissors.
• Turn off your system and remove your old plants.
• Remove the cover plates, planting frame and any
loose components from the top of your reservoir.
• Grab the tube leading to the nozzle in the center of
your device and pull up until it disconnects from the
black pump in the bottom of your reservoir.
• Take the draining tube (D) and insert the black tip
into the opening in the top of the pump, where your
nozzle used to be connected—press irmly to ensure
it is connected.
TIP:
We recommend cutting the roots to make them easier to remove.
