Operating range for locking and unlocking the doors
and the liftgate
The operating range is within about 2.3 feet (70 cm) of the
driver’s and front passenger’s door lock/unlock switches, the
liftgate LOCK switch and the liftgate OPEN switch.
OTE
● Only the doors and the liftgate that detect the F.A.S.T.-key
can be locked and unlocked.
● The system may not operate if the F.A.S.T.-key is too
close to the windshield, door windows or liftgate.
● Even if the F.A.S.T.-key is within about 2.3 feet (70 cm)
of the driver’s or front passenger’s door lock/unlock
switch, the liftgate LOCK switch or the liftgate OPEN
switch, the system may not operate if the key is close to
the ground or in a high position.
● If the F.A.S.T.-key is within the operating range, even a
person not carrying the F.A.S.T.-key can lock and unlock
the doors or the liftgate by pressing the driver’s or front
passenger’s door lock/unlock switch, the liftgate LOCK
switch or the liftgate OPEN switch.
