7.2 Using the cooling device
I
Note
Like every cooling device, your cooler must be properly ventilated
so that any heat created can be drawn off. Otherwise proper func-
tioning cannot be ensured.
a
Caution
Never interfere with the air current and never use the appliance in
a closed room without an air exchanger.
Your cooling box can cool or heat. The change-over from cooling to heating
takes place by means of a sliding switch. The particular operating states are
indicated by means of the integrated LEDs:
z green for cooling
z red for heating
Cooling
The best effect is achieved when you fill your cooling box with food and
beverages which are already refrigerated. They will then stay cool and even
become cooler still, providing the appliance remains switched on.
Heating
The box is designed for the purpose of keeping warm food warm and not for
warming up cold food. It will of course, also warm up cold food providing it is
allowed sufficient time to do so.
➤ Plug the 12 V connection cable (fig. 1 2, page 3) into the DC socket and
also into the cigarette lighter or a 12 V socket.
➤ Slide the switch to “HOT” or “COLD” to switch on the device.
✓ The cooler starts cooling/heating the interior and the appropriate LED
lights up.
a
Caution
Ensure that the objects placed in the cooler are suitable for cooling
or heating to the selected temperature.
➤ If you wish to switch the cooler off:
– Slide the switch to “OFF”.
➤ Pull out the connection cable.
