6 Mounting in the vehicle
There are three alternatives to mount the cooler in a vehicle:
z fig. 2 A, page 3: mounting between two seats with the help of the strap
included in the kit.
z fig. 2 B, page 3: mounting on the passenger seat with the help of the
3-point seat belt.
z fig. 2 C, page 3: mounting on the middle back seat with the 3-point seat
belt or waist belt.
Setting the shoulder belt
In order to prevent the slipping of the buckle on the belt, please follow the
following instructions to set the belt:
➤ Put the shoulder belt (fig. 3 1, page 3) through the two holes of the hous-
ing (fig. 3 2 and 3, page 3).
➤ Set the belt by sliding the belt through the buckle (fig. 3 4 and 5, page 3).
➤ Pull the belt at both ends (fig. 3 6, page 3) and make sure it is safely set.
Securing the lid
You should secure the lid against falling over as follows:
➤ Hook the loose end of the securing chain onto the securing screw (fig. 4,
page 4).
7 Operation

Note
Before starting your new cooling device for the first time, you
should clean it inside and outside with a damp cloth for hygienic
reasons (please also refer to the the “Cleaning and maintenance”
chapter on page 11).
7.1 Energy saving tips
z Choose a well ventilated installation location which is protected against di-
rect sunlight.
z Allow food to cool down first before placing it in the device.
z Do not open the cooling device more often than necessary.
z Do not leave the lid open for longer than necessary.
