Why is there red flame and black smoke coming from my Modena CT?

  Red flame and black smoke in your Modena Burner can occur due to several reasons. It may be that the nozzle diameter doesn't match the gas source, requiring you to regulate the nozzle diameter. The damper might be undersized, so adjust the damper to an appropriate size. Also, check if the gas in the gas bottle is almost used up and change the gas source if needed. Finally, the gas composition fluctuation might be huge during gas peak; in this case, regulate the inflow volume to a relatively smaller position and adjust it back to normal when the gas peak is over.
