2. Low Pressure, Plastic, or Rubber Line Splices.
Static system lines may be lengthened, shortened, or
spliced to allow the replacement of sections of dam-
aged lines. The fittings are called out in the Parts Cata-
log text pages following the illustration depicting the as-
sembly or component in question.
If splices are made, the system must be checked for
leaks.
3. Shortening and Lengthening of Tubing, Hoses,
and Flexible Ducting. Mooney manufactured assem-
blies of plumbing, tubing, hoses, and flexible ducting
may be modified to allow the use of longer parts of the
same size and material to be cut and used as replace-
ments. When the manufactured ends of flexible ducting
are removed, the raw edge must be taped with 3M alu-
minum foil tape.
