7.3 Hand Controls and Switches
7 - Lights and Indicators
The lights and indicators are operated from the left hand stalk behind the steering wheel. To indicate left push
the stalk in a downward direction, to indicate right lift the stalk in an upward direction. The indicators are self-
cancelling. The left hand stalk operates the dipswitch. To change the light positions pull the stalk towards the
steering wheel until it clicks, then release. This operation will change the lights from dipped to main, or from
main to dipped position. To flash the headlamps lightly pull the stalk towards the driver and release without
clicking over the switch.
Leaving the lights in the main beam position after turning the ignition off will leave the lights on for 10 seconds.
8 - Windscreen wipers/washers
The right hand stalk behind the steering wheel operates the wiper and the washer system.
Wipers
To operate the wipers move the control upward.
Position: 1 Wipers Off
2 Intermittent Wipe
3 First Speed Continuous
4 Second Speed Continuous
Intermittent Wipe: With the main switch in the first position, the windscreen will be cleared once at a set period.
This period can be varied using the rotary control on the inner part of the stalk. The bottom stop is the longest
delay and the top, the shortest.
Single Wipe: If the complete stalk is pressed downward, the windscreen will be swept once. The control will
return automatically.
Pushing the stalk down will wipe the windscreen once.
