13.5 Bulb replacements
Headlamps
The headlights on your Morgan Aero 8 are gas discharge type headlights and care should be taken not to touch
the bulbs when working on the lighting system. To remove the dipped beam bulb first remove the upper square
cover by folding back the metal clip. Next remove the power unit on the back of the bulb by twisting anti
clockwise then pulling back and carefully removing the wire connector. Next rotate the securing ring anti
clockwise and pull outwards and then remove the bulb. Reverse the procedure to replace the bulb ensuring the
electrical connectors are correctly positioned and secure.
To remove the main beam bulb remove the round cover by twisting anti clockwise. Remove the electrical
connector and then pull the bulb backwards to remove. Reverse the procedure to replace the new bulb ensuring
the connector is correctly connected.
Round Lamps
The bulbs on indicators, stop/taillights and reversing lights are removed by undoing the lens screws and
removing the lens: The bulbs are a push fit type bulb.
Notice
When replacing the lens be sure to avoid pushing the captivated nuts from the light body.
