14 - LIFTING AND TOWING
14.1 Towing
Warning
Use only equipment specifically designed for towing vehicles; failure to use the correct equipment may result in
an accident causing serious injury or even death.
Before towing a vehicle ensure that the ignition key is in the on position and the steering lock is released.
Always ensure the vehicle is in neutral when being towed.
Notice
It is always best when ever possible to transport a vehicle using a car transporter rather than towing a vehicle.
When moving a vehicle using a car transporter secure the vehicle using wheel chocks and wheel tie down
straps. Do not secure the vehicle using the towing loop, bodywork or suspension components.
