Overview

This document is a comprehensive Users Information Manual for the Mortex Products Inc. Downflow Single and Two Stage Electric Furnace, specifically for the E30 Series models. It provides detailed instructions for installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, ensuring safe and efficient use of the appliance. The furnace is ETL listed for installation in Manufactured (Mobile) Homes, Recreational Vehicles, Modular Homes & Buildings, and Residential Homes.

Function Description

The electric furnace is designed to provide heating for residential and mobile home applications. It operates on 240 volts AC at 60 Hertz and is equipped with a motor time delay, transformer, circuit breakers, and a blower assembly. When the thermostat calls for heat, 24 VAC is sent to energize relays, which in turn send 240 VAC through limit switches to electric heaters, causing them to heat up. The indoor fan motor then energizes on a low-speed tap, drawing cool air from the living spaces, passing it over the heater coils, and circulating warmed air through the ductwork. The blower also supports air conditioning or heat pump operation. The furnace is designed for downflow and horizontal applications and must not be operated without the furnace door installed.

Important Technical Specifications
