Why is there low water pressure with my Morton Water Filtration System?
    • J
      Jose WalkerAug 19, 2025
Low water pressure in your house when using a Morton Water Filtration System may be due to several reasons. The sediment filter screen might be clogged, which can be resolved by manually initiating a Clean Rinse cycle. If the filter screen is frequently plugging, consider adjusting the frequency of Clean Rinse cycles or adding a sediment filter upstream. Also, the filtration media pores could be blocked, in which case you should manually initiate a Clean Rinse cycle. If the filtration media pores are frequently blocking, it may be necessary to increase the frequency of Clean Rinse cycles.

      zachary57Aug 21, 2025
If your water from the Morton Water Filtration System has an objectionable taste or odor, it could be due to a few reasons. First, check if the system is in bypass; if so, move the bypass valve(s) to the normal operating (non-bypass) position. Second, the filtration media pores may be blocked; manually initiate a Clean Rinse cycle. If the filtration media pores are frequently blocking, it may be necessary to increase the frequency of Clean Rinse cycles.

If you notice no water flow to the drain during the Clean Rinse cycle of your Morton Water Filtration System, here's what to check: * Ensure the system isn't in bypass. If it is, move the bypass valve(s) to the normal operating (non-bypass) position. * Inspect the drain flow control for any blockages and clean it. * Check the drain hose for kinks or plugs and straighten it. * Verify that the power supply is properly connected to the wall electrical outlet and that there is no loss of power.

How to fix black or gray water from Morton MCWF?
    • M
      Melissa HigginsAug 26, 2025
If the water from your Morton Water Filtration System appears black or gray, it could be due to the following causes. If it's a new system, the start-up procedure may not have been completed; run the start-up procedure or run consecutive Clean Rinse cycles until the water color returns to normal. If it's not a new system, it could be due to normal abrasion of the filtration media; manually initiate a Clean Rinse cycle.

Why doesn't the Clean Rinse cycle run automatically on my Morton Water Filtration System?
    • J
      Jeremy MatthewsAug 28, 2025
If the Clean Rinse cycle on your Morton Water Filtration System isn't running automatically, there are a couple of things to check. If the display reads “VAC”, the Clean Rinse function has been disabled; press and release the CLEAN button until the display no longer reads “VAC.” If the display is blank, the power supply may be unplugged from the wall electrical outlet; check for loss of power.

    • P
      pamela46Aug 30, 2025
If water is running to the drain when your Morton Water Filtration System is not in the Clean Rinse cycle, it could be due to an inner valve defect causing a leak; replace the seals and rotor. Alternatively, there might be a crack in the distributor or riser tube; replace the distributor or riser tube.

If the Clean Rinse cycle on your Morton Water Filtration System does not run at the programmed time of day, it might be because the time display is flashing. This indicates that a long power loss caused the clock to lose its time setting; reset the clock to the correct time of day.
