Important safety information

Read all the instructions before using the appliance!
· Onlyusehairclipperstocuthumanhair.
· Onlyuseanimalclipperstocutanimalhairandanimalfur.
· OnlyconnecttheappliancetoanACmainspowersupply.Notetheratedvoltageontherating
plate.
· Nevertouchelectricalequipmentthathasfallenintowater.Disconnectfromthemains
immediately.

· Alwayspositionorstoreelectricalequipmentwhereitcannotfallintowater(e.g.washbasin).

appliance,unlessunderthesupervisionoforafterhavingreceivedinstructionintheuseofthe
appliancebyanindividualwhoisresponsiblefortheirsafety.Childrenshouldbesupervisedto
ensuretheydonotplaywiththeappliance.
· Onlyusetheappliancefortheproperuseasdescribedintheoperatinginstructions.Onlyuse
accessoriesrecommendedbythemanufacturer.
· Neverusetheapplianceifthemainscableorplug-intransformerisdamaged.Furthermore,do
notusetheapplianceifitisnotworkingcorrectly,ifitisdamagedorifithasfallenintowater.In
thesecases,sendtheappliancetoourServiceCentreforinspectionandrepair.Onlyspecialists
properlytrainedinthehandlingofelectrotechnicalappliancesmayrepairelectricalequipment.
· Donotholdtheappliancebythemainscabletocarryit,anddonotusethecableasahandle.
· Keepthemainscableandapplianceawayfromhotsurfaces.
· Makesurethatthemainscableisnottwistedorkinkedwhenchargingorstoring.
· Neverinsertorallowobjectstofallintotheopeningsoftheappliance.
· Onlyuseandstoretheapplianceindryrooms.
· Neverusetheappliancewhereaerosol(spray)productsarebeingusedorwhereoxygenis
released.
· Topreventinjuries,neverusetheapplianceifthebladesetisdamaged.
· Donotusedisposablebatteries.Rechargeablebatteriesshouldonlybereplacedatauthorized
ServiceCentres.

Before the appliance is used for the first time, it should be charged for approx.
2.5 hours.
· Theapplianceissafetyinsulatedandradioscreened.ItmeetstherequirementsofEUDirective
2004/108/ECregardingelectromagneticcompatibilityandECLowVoltageDirective2006/95/
EC.
Exhaustedbatteries/rechargeablebatteriesshouldnotbedisposedofinhousehold
waste.Disposeoftheminaccordancewithlegalregulations.
Mains operation
· Connecttheapplianceplugontheplug-intransformertotheappliancesocket(Fig1a).
· Connecttheplug-intransformertothemainspowersupply(Fig1b).
· Switchontheapplianceusingtheon/offswitch(Fig.2a)and,afteruse,switchitoffagain
(Fig.2b).
·
Note:Iftheappliancedoesnotfunctioninmainsoperationwhenthebatteryisfullydischarged,
switchitoffandchargethebatteryuntilthelowestsegmentoftheLEDbatterypowerindicator
startstoblink.Thencontinuechargingforapproximately5minutes.Switchtheapplianceon
againandoperatefromthemainspower-supply.
Charging the battery
· Connecttheapplianceplugontheplug-intransformertothechargingstandsocket(Fig3a).
Theappliancecanalsobeconnecteddirectlytotheplug-intransformerforcharging.
(Fig.1a/b).
· Connecttheplug-intransformerintothesocket(Fig3b).
· Switchofftheapplianceusingtheon/offswitch(Fig.2b).
· Placeapplianceinthechargingstandorconnectdirectlytotheplug-intransformer.Asignalwill
soundandthechargingprocessbegins.
· Accordingtothechargestatus,thecorrespondingsegmentofthebatterypowerindicatorblinks
duringthechargingprocess.Oncethebatteryisfullycharged,allsegmentsofthebatterypower
indicatorwillremainlitcontinuously.Afterthedevicehasbeenremovedfromthecharging
stand,thedisplaygoesoutafterapprox.30seconds.(powersavingmode)
· Recommendation:Toassuretheprecisionofthebatterypowerindicator,thebatteryshould
notberechargeduntilallsegmentsofthebatterypowerindicatorhavegoneoutduringbattery
operation.
· Onceallsegmentsofthebatterypowerindicatorhavegoneout,theappliancestillhasaround
20%remainingcapacity.
· Itshouldtakearound2½hoursfortheappliancetochargetofullcapacity.
· Oncethebatteryisfullycharged,asignalwillsound.
Battery operation
· Switchontheapplianceusingtheon/offswitch(Fig.2a)and,afteruse,switchitoffagain
(Fig.2b).
· Aftertheappliancehasbeenswitchedoff,thedisplaygoesoutabout30secondslater.(power
savingmode)
· Whenthebatteryisfullycharged,theappliancecanbeusedforupto100minuteswithout
mainsconnection.Thiscapacityisattainedafterapprox.5-10chargingcycles.
