    • J
      james08Aug 16, 2025
If your Mosquito Magnet Insect Control Equipment won’t start, the propane tank may be empty. Weigh the tank and check it against the 'empty' weight. Also, bring the tank to a filling location and ask for the tank to be purged, as there may be air in the fuel line. Repeat the above steps.

Why won't my Mosquito Magnet Liberty Plus start and the LED is flashing red?
    • J
      Joel SilvaAug 28, 2025
The Mosquito Magnet Insect Control Equipment might not start with a flashing red LED due to several reasons: 1. The propane tank could be empty. Weigh it and compare to the empty weight marked on the tank. 2. A new propane tank may need purging to remove air from the fuel line. Take it to the filling location and ask for purging. 3. There may be a loose connection. Check all electrical connections and ensure the regulator is fully engaged, and the propane tank valve is fully open. 4. The security check valve may have been triggered if the tank was opened too quickly; refer to the Reset Tool Instructions. 5. The fuel line could be blocked by propane contaminants. Use the Quick Clear valve to resolve this.

If the LED on your Mosquito Magnet Insect Control Equipment is flashing red and orange, it indicates a low battery voltage. Ensure you charge the battery for 24 hours before using the trap for the first time and before each season. Also, check all battery connections to ensure they are fully inserted. If the issue persists after repeated attempts, the battery may need recharging.

If your Mosquito Magnet Insect Control Equipment starts but doesn't stay running, consider these possibilities: 1. The propane tank could be empty or there may be a loose connection. Refer to the solutions for 'Unit won’t start LED flashing RED', points 1 and 3. 2. The fuel line might be blocked by propane contaminants. See the Quick-Clear valve instructions. 3. The regulator might not be fully engaged. Refer to the Tank Changing Tips.

Why is my Mosquito Magnet Insect Control Equipment not catching many insects?
    • S
      Sharon BrownSep 6, 2025
A low or no catch rate can occur due to trap placement issues or because biting insect reproductive cycles have not yet been broken. To address this, keep your Mosquito Magnet Insect Control Equipment in constant operation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for at least 4-6 weeks to reduce the mosquito population.

How to improve low or no catch with Mosquito Magnet Insect Control Equipment?
    • T
      Theresa AlvaradoSep 9, 2025
If you're experiencing low or no catch with your Mosquito Magnet Insect Control Equipment, consider the following: * If you're not getting bitten, mosquitoes might not be out yet. Verify the temperature is consistently above 10°C (50°F). * If you are getting bitten, there may be a trap placement issue. Follow the steps in the “Trap Placement” section of your owner’s manual included with your Mosquito Magnet® Liberty Plus. * The CounterFlow may be disrupted. This could be due to restricted airflow.
