Overview

The Mother's Choice Haven II 3-in-1 Stroller is a versatile and adaptable stroller designed for children from birth up to 4 years of age, with a maximum weight capacity of 20kg. It features a pram mode suitable for newborns (up to approximately 6 months or 9kg) and a seat mode that can be adjusted to world-facing or parent-facing positions.

Function Description:

The Haven II stroller serves as a comprehensive travel system for infants and toddlers. Its primary function is to provide a safe and comfortable means of transport for children, offering flexibility with its 3-in-1 design. This includes a lay-flat pram mode for newborns, a reversible seat for older infants and toddlers, and a compact folding mechanism for storage and portability. The stroller is equipped with essential safety features such as a 5-point harness, operating brakes, and a tether strap.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Weight Capacity: Maximum 20kg.
  • Pram Mode Capacity: Up to approximately 6 months or 9kg.
  • Seat Positions: 3 adjustable positions for both world-facing and parent-facing modes.
  • Harness: 5-point adjustable safety harness with three height settings (lower, upper, and middle slots).
  • Brakes: Rear brake lever for application and release.
  • Wheels: Swivel front wheels with lock/unlock function, and rear wheels.
  • Folding Mechanism: Compact fold with an automatic storage latch.
  • Components: Frame, swivel wheels (x2), bumper bar (x1), seat (x1), axle (x1), rear wheels (x2), hub caps (x2), retaining caps (x2), retaining cap covers (x2), and canopy (x1).

Usage Features:

Assembling the Stroller:

  • Opening: Release the storage latch, then lift the handle and pull up until an audible 'click' is heard, ensuring the locking mechanism is engaged. Push down on the handle to confirm locks are fully engaged.
  • Rear Wheel Assembly: Ensure the axle cover is removed. Slide the rear wheel onto the axle, ensuring brake cogs face the axle. Attach the wheel retaining cap, then the retaining cap cover, and finally snap the hub cap onto the wheel. Repeat for the other wheel.
  • Installing Rear Axle/Brakes: Insert the rear stroller legs into the rear wheel assembly and push until they snap into place. Ensure red brake levers face the rear of the stroller.
  • Front Wheel Assembly: Align the wheel shaft with the hole in the front leg and push in until a 'click' is heard. Repeat for the other side. To remove, press the push button on the inside of the front tube while pulling the wheel off.
  • Operating Front Swivel Lock: Push swivel locks outwards to lock and inwards to unlock.
  • Canopy Assembly: Place the seat and canopy facing up. Align the two canopy plastic slides with the two seat slides and push towards the center. Connect the canopy zipper pull with the seat zip and zip all the way around. The canopy is permanently attached.
  • Seat Assembly: Turn the seat over to expose the back. Move the metal bar down to the bottom area. Lift the press stud strap to meet the bar and secure the press studs. Repeat on the other side.
  • Fitting Seat: Align the seat with the frame and push downwards until a 'click' is heard. To remove, push the seat release buttons on both sides and lift the seat.
  • Attaching Bumper Bar: Align the bumper bar shaft with the hole in the frame and push in until a 'click' is heard. Repeat on the other side. To remove, press both grey buttons under the bumper bar.

Using the Stroller:

  • Adjusting Canopy: Pull the front edge forward to open. The canopy can be extended.
  • Operating Brakes: Press down firmly on the brake lever to apply. Press upwards to release. Always apply brakes when parking the stroller.
  • Tether Strap: Whenever a child is in the stroller and brakes are not engaged, the large loop of the tether strap should be around the user's wrist to prevent the stroller from rolling away.
  • Stroller Seat Direction: The seat can be world-facing or parent-facing. Press the seat release buttons on both sides, lift the seat, turn it around, align with the frame, and gently push down until a 'click' is heard. The seat and bassinet can be adjusted into 3 different positions.
  • Adjusting Seat Position: The seat has 3 positions for each direction. To lower the seat, pull the lever on the top of the seat upwards, then position the seat to the desired recline. Ensure child's limbs are inside the seating area when adjusting the backrest.
  • Using in Pram Mode (Lay-flat for newborns): Squeeze the adjuster clip and pull downwards to adjust the backrest to the lowest position, ensuring the seat runs in a straight angle along the seat frame. Unfasten the two support strap clips below the seat. With the support strap released, the seat interior folds out into the bassinet position. ONLY use the bassinet in parent-facing position. Recommended for newborns up to approximately 6 months or 9kg. Bassinet cannot stand alone, is not for prolonged or overnight sleeping, and should not be used once the child can sit up unaided.
  • Securing Your Child: The 5-point harness can be adjusted by moving each strap's slider. To tighten or loosen, hold and lift the plastic adjuster. Slip one shoulder strap over each shoulder and position the crotch strap between the legs. Place buckle prong (D) on top of buckle prong (C) and insert into buckle housing (E) until it clicks. Repeat for the opposite side (F and G). Pull straps to ensure they are locked. To release, squeeze the top and bottom prongs together. Use the harness at all times.
  • Adjusting Harness Height: The harness can be set at three heights (lower, upper, and middle slots). Undo the buckle and feed the shoulder straps through the chosen loop before securing the harness.
  • Folding the Stroller: Before folding, fold the canopy back, adjust the seat backrest to an upright position, unlock the swivel wheels, and apply the rear brakes. Push and hold the button while simultaneously squeezing the handle button to release the lock. Push downwards on the handle to fold. The storage latch will automatically engage when fully folded. Ensure the seat is world-facing when folding.
  • Unfolding the Stroller: Release the storage latch. Lift the handle until the stroller is fully open and the locking mechanism engages. Push down on the handle to check that the locks have fully engaged.
  • Carrying the Stroller: Fold the stroller and ensure the storage latch is applied. Carry the stroller by holding the frame between the rear wheel and the storage latch. The stroller can be folded with or without the seat.

Maintenance Features:

  • Storage: Always store in a clean and dry place.
  • Cleaning Frame: Wipe the frame with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasives, bleach, or strong detergents.
  • Cleaning Fabric: Spot clean fabrics with warm water and mild soap. Ensure fabric is dry before storing.
