Press # in a text entry screen to select an entry mode:
To set your text entry modes, press
M in a text entry screen
and select the desired entry mode.
iTAP™ mode
Press # in a text entry screen to switch to iTAP mode. iTAP
mode lets you enter words using one keypress per letter. The
iTAP software combines your keypresses into common
words and predicts each word as you enter it.
For example, if you press
7764 , your phone displays
a list of suggestions for words such as
prog , proh , and spoi .
tap mode
Press # in a text entry screen and select tap mode.
entry mode

Includes iTAP English , Tap Extended , and Tap English .
symbol
E nter symbols only.

numeric
E nter numbers only.
0
and lowercase in English alphabet text entry.
Tip: Pressing will toggle between uppercase
