6.7 Switch the answering
machine on / o
The phone can digitally record up
to 12 minutes of messages. As well
as recording incoming messages, it
can record memos for other users.
You can operate your Answering
Machine from the base, the handset
or remotely from another phone.
Via the base
1. Press o on the base to turn the
answering machine on or o.
When the answering machine is
on the LED will come on.

6.4 Lock / unlock the keypad
You can lock the keypad so that it
cannot be operated accidentally
while carrying it around.
Note
When the keypad is locked, you
can still answer incoming calls and
operate the handset as normal during
the call. When the call ends, the
keypad lock comes on again.
1. Press and hold 0.
Keys locked

2. To unlock the keypad, press and
hold 0 again.
6.5 Paging / Find handset
You can alert a handset user that
they are wanted or locate a missing
handset.
Paging calls cannot be answered by
a handset.
1. Press f on the base. All
handsets registered to the base
will ring.
2. To stop the ringing, press f
on the base again or press any
button on the handset.
6.6 Dial mode
Your phone is set to tone dialling.
You should only need to change
this if connected to an older type of
switchboard / PBX which requires
pulse dialling.
