Creating the Private Contacts
You need to enter the contact information for a radio before you can make a Private Call to it. For more details
on Private Call, see
“ Types of Calls” on page 2-3“.
1. Right-click Privates, on the left of the CPS screen, and choose “Add”.
2. Enter the Unit ID of the radio you are calling. This is the only field that is required. All other fields below
are optional.
3. Enter the Name of the radio you are calling. This gives an easier way of remembering the contact, rather
than just relying on the numeric Unit ID.
4. Enter the Channel where the call takes place.
5. Enter the desired contact (the Homegroup) that you want to change to when the call ends, or when the
radio is idle for over 30 seconds.
6. Enter the desired Ringer tone you want to hear, when receiving a call from this contact.
