4. Press the HOME key or the PTT switch, or turn the
mode selector knob, to store the displayed zone.
This will be the new “home” (default) zone. If you
pressed the PTT switch, you will also transmit on
the displayed mode (see “Transmitting”).
5. Turn the mode selector knob to the desired mode.
The display shows the selected mode’s name.
Notes:
• If the selected mode is unprogrammed, the
display will show “UNPROGRAMMED,” and you
will hear an invalid-mode tone until a valid
programmed mode is selected.
• You can use the mode selector knob at any
time to select the mode.
